Cancel broadband or just move it?

I'm moving house soon, and I've got the option of either cancelling my contract (monthly) or moving it to my new address.

As a Virgin customer moved to Virgin Media I've got a deal I'm now quite happy with (17.99 for 8mbps unlimited), though that's not as cheap as the phone bundles you can now get. But obviously I can't give them my new phone number until I move in (as I won't know it) so will I be loosing out on x days broadband and having to pay still? can't decide which would be better.

I pay £10 month and get continuous unlimited 14mb connection.

There is a cancellation fee for Virgin, or used to be before Virgin Media was created.

Nope, never a fee for Virgin (because you can just switch to the pay as you go package for free, which has 0 monthly fee), there is now a £50 fee if you terminate a new Virgin Media contract earlier than 12months after activation (ie no longer monthly).
