I download torrent of Linux distros etc and have noticed that last month everything was fine but this month the torrent program says "online, may be firewalled"
Now I have UPNP and that used to be fine but I assumed that maybe it was a UPNP issue so I forwarded my ports in the router but its still says the same.
Is it possible that VM have blocked the ports?
It's likely, contact them and ask. You can also try enabling torrent encryption to bypass layer 7 protocol filtering.

Well it says my ports are open. Maybe a software problem. Very strange.
Am on virgin to and torrents are fine
how odd... the ports just opened on there own after a few hours.
