most of you know this....
but anyways.....
(and i apologise for the excessive use of periods, full stops and dots....)
So, recently i bought an Xbox 360, my sole source of entertainment, other than sky tv, 2 ex patriot brothers, the english,Celtic Football Club, and the friday night pool tournament.
Being out of work for 4 months now, i have ran a social experiment, Sky TV provides as much entertainment as the previous 5 channels did during daytime TV with the added bonus of seeing Oprah in High Def
not something i reccommend.
The 2 brothers provide entertainment on a periodic basis, like every year and a half or so, and i love them dearly, but living vicariously through them is vastly overrated.
The English are always worth a laugh tho..
Celtic now face Barca, so loving them like i do, ummmm, thats europe out the window and i have just lost the friday night pool tournament.
So, i turn to my Trusty XBOX 360. the saviouir of my mental state, THE ELITE, nonetheless of xbox gaming. I have Halo3, Oblivion, Pro Evo 2008 etc etc.,
And, i move it up stairs, next to my beloved PC, and a mile away from the router it used to connect to Xbox live, thinking, that i can now connect it through my PC< use the wireless USB dongle to the router and all will be well
what follows is 3 weeks of absolute networking hell
I would love to blame Vista, i would, but it dont work in XP either, hence my post

Vista i like, although some info is lacking.
I have a crossover cable, about 15 other rj 45 cables, a 360, 5 pc's (incliuding 2 i built, 2 laptops and an oldie from PCWORLD), the help of a damn good friend ( that helped build the 2 i kinda built), 2 usb wireless dongles, a netgear cable wireless router, a netgear 834G ADSL router( in use) AND NO WAY TO GET THE 360 ONLINE. It will take files and so on from the pc's etc etc, but won't connect through the USB Wireless adaptor ( on my comp ) no matter which way i set it up.
I now await my MS wireless adaptor,. costing 54.99 GBP ( all other USB adaptors costing sub £20) with baited breath..
and a hammer if anyone shows me a solution that will actiually work....
