Settings needed: Lynksys 354G and Virgin Broadbean

    Lo dudes

Dad's rouer isn't connecting, and he's bound to have screwed around with something, and lives some 250 miles away. Broad Band DOES work, cos he can connect via a USB modem.

He's on Virgin BB and has 354G router.
Does anyone here have a 354 that they could do some screen shots for, so I can see it, and tel him, over the phone what the page looks like?

Secondly, I have given up on Virgin's website. I just cannot find their settings.
We know his uisername and password, but I dont even know if they're dynamin IP's (very likely) or what the PPPoA or PPPoE option is.
Any help taken with great smiles, and much kissing

    Cheers people

Perhaps if he removed the tough outer coating and boiled for a couple of minutes?

I don't know the specifics of that router but it's PPPoA you need. Check the VPI and VCI settings, they should be VPI = 0, VCI = 38. As you guessed you need to set it for a dynamic IP address.
