Question Talk Talk Boadband - anyone got?

Have just ordered talk talk and am wondering if anyone has it and what they think of it.
(have just moved from Orange because talk talk is a lot cheaper with the package)

Re: Talk Talk Boadband - anyone got?

My parents and brother have it at the moment. My brother plays a few games so I'd expect him to have complained if he'd had problems there. My dad deals with the customer services side of things and likewise he's not mentioned any issues. They've had it about a year so far btw.

[edit] forgot to add, they're just on the 2Mb package.

here you can compare ISPs but as always even when you'll choose best ISP for your area you can always have a problems - it all depend on you line quality :/

A colleague at work has the so called 'free' talk talk broadband and all indications from him about customer service, support, reliability of service and actual speed are that you get what you pay for in that it's very very poor.

my experience was terrible with talk talk and then to top off the slow speeds and intermittent connection when i moved they said they couldn't provide me broadband anymore and then charged me £70 because of it

Re: Talk Talk Boadband - anyone got?

coming from someone who makes a living from fixing computer problems I would have to say that Talk Talk are my favourite. I make a small fortune from people who have TalkTalk broadband as their CS people ALWAYS convince the poor sucker that has taken their broadband that there is a hardware problem with thier computer or telephone installation. I turn up do a few quick checks and what do you know, 90% of the time it's a TalkTalk problem.

Easily the worst ISP out there, line speeds suck, CS sucks. Stick to dial up rather than get TalkTalk broadband!

Re: Talk Talk Boadband - anyone got?

some relations have the free one; customer support is terrible, line drops out every few mins etc etc etc

was fine when he was paying a subsidised BT one (payed 9.99 for 2M) but since he went on their free one; nothing but telephone problems and dropouts etc

Re: Talk Talk Boadband - anyone got?

It could get worse trust me, i have it and it was down for ages as soon as i switched to it. The customer service people kept telling me that the line was fine their end and that it was my fault.

    In summary, they suck.

Re: Talk Talk Boadband - anyone got?

My parents got it last year, and for the first six weeks it was fine. Then they lost the phone line and broadband connection for a month. The customer service was awful, they kept saying that my parents had to contact BT, as they own the physical lines, but BT wanted nothing to do with it. My parents were considering legal action, but then suddenly everything started working. They kept it and its worked fine since then.

I think they're probably ok, its just their customer service which is terrible. If anything goes wrong, keep a record of EVERYTHING, including all phone calls to them and their response. The records might help if you need to complain to the regulator, or even if you need to take things a stage further.

Re: Talk Talk Boadband - anyone got?

It's still going good... and I might even be tempted to say the BB speed is better than my previous Orange BB speed - although it is the same 1MB.

I've had BT before, when things went wrong they weren't helpful either!!!!
Infact BT suck, and they are a rip-off!!!
