    Talk Talk

I'm reading a lot about the Talk Talk deal where you get your broadband and phone calls for £20 a month. It sounds like a good deal despite the 18 month contract and I've yet to hear any complaints about it yet I can't help but feel a tad dubious. Has anyone had any good/ bad experiences with them?

Well a company has to make money to stay in business, and Talk Talk will run at a considerable loss for quite some time. They will have to make savings where they can, so expect high actual contention ratios and put a question mark on the support resource avaiability I would have thought?
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

Take a look on the adslguide forums for talk talk. I don't think they will be a wise choice as they are a total shambles of a company and i haven't seen any good posts about them.

They'll take months to conect you and then will probably take months to disconect you once you've had enough.

A guy I work with has been waiting 2 months to have his adsl switched to talk talk. Indian call centres, rubbish customer service, never replying to emails, lost his order twice. And thats not all of it!

My friend and his flatmates got talktalk broadband around the spring of this year and as far as I was told, they got connected without any real trouble.

However, after this it was all downhill from there as the connection was unreliable, ports were blocked, World of Warcraft could only be played at ungodly hours, bittorrent would be throttled if not used within a few designated hours and so on. Essentially, as far as he is concerned - TalkTalk broadband is terrible.
I've also heard similar horror stories from friends at uni, so I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole if I were you.

they are probably fine for someone doing a little web browsing and email. My parents for exampl, coul probably save quite a lot on both calls and broadband by switching to someone like TalkTalk.
