    Snmp/mrtg

    Hi Guys,

Is there an easy way to monitor this stuff using my Draytek + A Mac or Windows setup?

I want to monitor the bandwidth that each of the things on my LAN is using as well as the internet feed.

    Help?

    I used

Paessler | Bandwidth management software - monitor and manage bandwidth with PRTG.

This for a while, but the free version only allows monitoring of three interfaces - I used it for the ADSL feed. It is Windows only. I used it with a Draytek, but it monitored the ethernet side before the built in switch - it didn't monitor each port.

I haven't used mrtg - although it is supposed to be quite good.

The problem with monitoring bandwidth by each client on a network is that you either have to have client software on each machine, or use a managed switch which has bandwidth monitoring capabiity. You then use the tool centrally to collect and present that data using snmp.
