aye, also, be very very wary of this

any broadband advertised as recreational does not have to support or open ports for

FTP, Gaming, MSN and chat clients, VoIP clients, P2P programs

i thought gaming or chat clients where a recreation in themselves, guess not

Yowch - For your sake I hope their "traffic management" works as advertised now: they had many problems with their Ellacoyas when I was with them and turned me from a loyal customer to someone who would never recommend them over a period of around 9 months.

i've got the opposite problem.

I'm with Pipex Homecall and their internet isn't free, but it is!

Every month, my bill comes with a 9.99 charge for broadband.
Every month, there is a 'broadband discount' of 9.99 applied
Total internet cost - nothing.

Have tried calling them - they insist that everything is in order and that 'it's free forever' although I can't find them advertising this, now or ever!

Seems fine to me - just hope they don't change their minds and start hassling me for back payments!

I would cover your backside and email them asking to confirm this then you have it in writting. Pipex threatened me with a collection agency for non paid bills. There was just one problem I wasn't and never was a Pipex customer so I don't trust them as well.

Been with TalkTalk for just over 18 months now and yes they are pretty poor.
Can any one recommend a decent alternative or would it be best to go back to BT who are expensive but at least they were reliable.

I dont think that i could handle the 15gb download usage allowance. Rubbish for my needs anyway.
