I second that... I was Be for over 2 years... Just switched to O2... There is no difference what so ever, there was even no downtime when switching lol... Sync speed identical, pings identical... Only difference is that I save £8 a month

Yes - the O2 offer is open to pay-as-you-go, but you have to top up your card with a certain amount otherwise you lose the special rate.

From their site: "Discount for Pay & Go customers subject to £10 minimum top-up every 3 months." so £40 top-up over the year contract.

It still works out cheaper than Be, even if you don't use the p&g credit...

Just had a look at O2 site and it says £15 for O2 customers for 20 meg, ionly paying £18 at be.

But do you actually get 20mbit?

I was on "24mbit" Be for over 2 years, but it only synchronised at 11.5mbit, so now I am on 16mbit O2 for £10 per month which synchronises at 11.5mbit

much diff between be unlimited and be pro other than potential up speed? (I get 2-3mbs dl and 448k upload at mo on enta but want to switch as at peak times speeds become unusable)

The download speed can be affected on the Pro package as it's drops about 1 - 1.5 mbps as the upload uses a wider frequency range.

The faster upload is cracking though if you want to host game servers like I did for a while

I live 600meters from main exchange my line stats show I should get 20+ meg, only one way to find out thou and that will be on monday
