Having had a number of wireless networking issues since building myself a new pc I've recently installed a CAT cable running to my room to solve the problem. However, the same wireless issues are now cropping up with my PS3 as well as my mates laptops during LAN gaming - so I'd like to buy an ethernet switch to save any further hassle.
My current setup consists of a WRT54GL (running Tomato) connected directly to the cable modem. After doing a bit of research I've decided to get the Netgear FS605 ethernet switch. It will be connected to the WRT54GL via a CAT cable, and the pc and ps3 (and laptops) will be plugged into the switch. Should I expect any problems or will it be plug and play? Does anyone else have a similar setup?
Thanks.
