Its something they are working on I believe.
though you can use Kodiak or web access but its not that full featured.

I suppose i could setup an XP VM, use the web access to start it, RDP to it from my Linux box and install the VMWare client on the XP VM

Yep - I misunderstood! VMWare is one of the (many ) areas I want to get to grips with!

Not something I've tried, but does the Windows client run unsder WINE/Cedega/Whatever it calls itself these days?

I've VMware fusion running on my Mac Pro, and it's fantastically handy - got ubuntu, solaris, and my xp installation from my old pc virtualised
