Thecus N2200 NAS - Will this do??

    Help

Complete notive when dealing with NAS equipment.

I need to get a unit that can hold two drives, so I can use RAID 1 mirroring

Needs to be able to plug into a router so can be used by about 3/4 computers on a home network.

Need to be able to access from the internet if in another country.

Also being able to plug in printers via USB that can be used by any computer on the network..

    Will this do it?

Im no expert either, but I'm also in the marked for a raid mirrored NAS.

This looks ok price wise but I see it makes no mention of UPNP or DNLA servers built in.
I'd like to be able to browse media on the NAS from both a wireless streaming radio/streamer and from my PS3.

So media servers are important for me - dunno if they matter to you or not but thought I would at least point this out...

    Found the user manual here.

    http://www.thecus.com/download/manua...UM_V1.0_EN.pdf

Supports UPNP... Not sure about DNLA

Looks like what I am after. Seems to support alot more than I was looking for but I guess all good.

also have a look at Edimax NS-2502, cheaper and has most if not all required features. I will be the proud owner of one soon (if all goes well)

The netgear readynas duo ticks all your boxes as well.
