    Netgear DG834GT Wireless disconnects....

The problem is my DG834GT wireless connection drops and i have to power cycle my router to make the wireless come back to life. My ethernet connection is fine and never drops but the missus pc has a wireless card and also my son uses the wii/ps3 and has the same issue.

The DG834GT is running the latest firmware V1.03.22 After 2-3 hours with out any wireless activity i.e. the wii/ps3/missus pc are not on the wireless just turns its self off both Enable Wireless Access Point and Allow Broadcast of Name (SSID) are enabled. Nat is enabled. DHCP is on.

This problem only started after i upgraded the firmware as 1.02 the wireless signal strength wasnt as good.

    Thanks in advance.

    Theres your problem.

I had the same issue when I upgraded the firmware in mine, logging into the router and disabling and reenabling the Wifi sorted it until it happens again.

In the end, I just went back to the previous working firmware, which for me was 1.02.16 I think.

the trouble i found with teh V1.02.16 is that the signal strength was terrible. Hence updating it.

    Re: Netgear DG834GT Wireless disconnects....

The last firmware pushed out by Sky was V1.03.87. I'm using a custom version of that firmware from here, it offers more detailed stats (error counters, etc). Works for me.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.
