    Question Win7 x64 Wireless PCI/E Adaptor Recommendation

I've just upgraded my main PC's motherboard which unfortunately means I've now got to use a discrete wireless adapter as opposed to the previous mobo's integrated wireless adaptor.

I have tried a Linksys WMP54G but they have not and are not releasing a Win7 driver for that particular card. I've tried the various work-arounds and they just don't work reliably.

The main use is gaming and it has to be Win 7 x64 compatible. I'm currently using a Netgear DG834G and have bought a Micronet wireless 54g PCI adapter in desperation from Maplin but it seems to have a pretty poor antenna and though it can see my network, it can't complete the handshake and allow network or internet access.

Are known brand USB adapters worth considering?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Win7 x64 Wireless PCI/E Adaptor Recommendation

I have the older version 4 of this card, the latest version is I think v4.1 which people have been able to make work on Win7 x64 by installing the Ralink chipset driver.
