Hello. Well, i had my network configured fine. it consisted of a D-Link DI604, 2 PC's sharing a 512 internet connection. Anyway, this morning i got my e-mail to say unplug the cable modem then plug it back in(to activate 1MBit). So, i did as instructed. But MSN has EXTREMELY slow transfer rates for some reason. it was fine before i unplugged the modem. Gonna reboot the router, but apart from that cant think of anything else that could solve it. Any help greatly appriectiated
Try upgrading the firmware - MSN messenger and hotmail are continuously changing so the chances are that your router firmware is out of date. If you use MSN messenger, I recommend downloading the latest version of that as well.

Bah, sometimes I get that.
I have my the relevant ports forwarded on my firewall too. Sometimes I find the firewall doesn't like restarting when a connection is reset, and that messes it up. From a total reset all seems fine.
I presume your router is based on FreeBSD as many are, and so the problems could be similar to those on my Linux based custom built router box.
