How long should it take to get a domain name transferred from one hosting to another? I convinced my friend that it made sense to pay for hosting and e-mail so we could have proper separate accounts. I used Web-Mania, thanks for the recommendation Scottyman.

Everything is ready and waiting hosting wise but domain name appears to be not pointing to our hosting. I gave the Tag and DNS details to Pipex on Wednesday or Thursday. Whois reveals that the Tag has changed to Webmania, but the DNSs are still Pipex’s. So who do I need to hassle in order to get this done? I cannot believe it would take this long to propagate through the DNS system.

The domain name has still not been transferred. Surely someone must have done this before?

ERU, how will using Thunderbird help the domain name transfer? I use it myself, but I said in the original post that the people in question do not want to use it. I showed them it and they still prefer Outlook <sigh> .
