Im looking at ways of improving the way we do networks in my company (broadcast integration mainly) Has anyone ever come across any alternative patching solutions for CAT5/6 networking?
I have had some experience with the Systimax Visipatch 360 which i really like. If anyone is unfarmiliar with it, its worth having a look. It gets rid of anything like...
The patch cables have a label on the front of the connector, making it easy to find each end, then the cables point backwards into the frame and are hidden behind doors for when they need to patch between two columns. The connectors them self are also pretty rugged, one thing with CAT6 sockets that we have found is they can wear down if they are regularly used, the systimax stuff is almost like a krone connection.
The problem with this system is that you have to have it installed with a full Systimax infrastructure and we don't really want to have to put our wire men through training when we quite like the approach with have already.
Does anyone know of any other alternative/unusual network patching systems?
