Digital Region - Fibre Optic Broadband Covering South Yorkshire

With BT offering lackluster support for Infinity to the South Yorkshire area (Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster) I've just discovered the local councils banded together to apply for EU funding to set-up a local independent scheme which is now up and running. It seems to cover a wide area of South Yorkshire, and there's currently a couple of start up ISP's offering home broadband packages.

Specifically the ISP's catering for residential users seem to be Origin and LittleBigOne

I will report back as I've just applied for Origin's Ignition Package (24Mb down and 2Mb Up, Unlimited, for £17.50/month)

Thats odd.... Mum who lives out in the sticks in a village near Barnsley is on Infinity so i don't know how you can say it's lackluster..... eitherway good to see competition =)

grey = no plans to enable at present
orange = not enabled yet (next 18 months or so)
