    Talk Talk

Ha anyone else experienced loads of problems with internet speed since forcibly being changed over from Tiscali to Talk Talk?
Don't get me wrong I had my fair share of problems with Tiscali but nothing like this!
My home internets become so slow in some cases that it's quicker to use my phone!
I often get web pages hanging then saying we're not connected to the Internet. Booted off online game due to no network service and streaming videos on YouTube is a total joke!
My mum (yeah still living at home and shes the accout holder) been in contact several times with Talk Talk who initially said it was because we were using our own Belkin router and not a super special Talk Talk one, the woman on the phone said unless we signed a new contract with Talk Talk (previously on a rolling contract having been signe across from Tiscali) and used the router they would send us out in the post they were unable to help us any further.
My mum stupidly agreed and as a result were now signed into a 18 month contract.
For two weeks or so afterwards Internet speeds were good again without any problems but over the last three months it's got progressively worse to the point where it's almost unusable especially from 6pm - 9pm.

Has anyone got any advice as to what we can do?

Coercion into signing a new contract I suspect would fall apart in court, just tell em you are leaving and you will take legal proceedings if they dont let you.

Saracen - you are needed my friend

    Re: Talk Talk

Actually TalkTalk should have written to the op to say that they were changing him over to their service and would have provided him with a time to change if he wantewd to take business elsewhere, if he did nothing within that time then TalkTalk will assume he is happy with the way things will be and then take on providing his service under his original t&c's he had with Tiscali. If he tried to leave might be seen as on breach of contract and may be liable to pay them something for the business they have lost out on.

    Re: Talk Talk

I've had nothing but terrible service from talktalk in the past, your only option would be trying to get escalated higher up or tell them you're leaving.

I'm not sure if it helps, but talktalk have their own forum where some of the staff do look into cases so it might be worth having a go there.
