Mental but to be honest when you talk about Cisco routers I don't really class these as Cisco. These are just Linksys with a Cisco badge, just for a second I was expecting to see 3800 or 2800s and was really worried!

so they're trying to make you sign up to a Cloud Service, so you can still use your router.. but they retain the right to monitor your download and upload or porn/warez etc.. and they reserve the right to hose your router to the use of a house brick if you don't behave?

    is that right?

Re: Anyone else seen the Cisco fiasco?

    that is, simply put.. remarkable.

    Blinding find Agent....

That's a bit like a car garage, after you've bought a car... asking you to come in and sign up for a mailing list.. and if you don't... they come and take your engine out.

But once you've signed up to the mailing list.. you aren't allowed to use the boot of your car for certain tasks.... and you're not allowed to speed in it.

    remarkable....

is that definitely what they did? because it feels almost like a mistake somewhere....

I've used Cisco for years and some Linksys and I think it is ridiculous, it wont do Cisco's reputation any good at all, particularly amongst home users and small business users.
