    Another "Which ADSL" thread

Ok, friend moving to a new house so was wondering which would be the best ADSL package for him. He wants unrestricted bandwith and at least a 256 connection. I'm totally confused after the recent price war so could someone let me know what the best package out there is?

I'm going to say ( as I always do )

Zen - their customer service is fantastic. Its not the cheapest out there , but the knowldge that if there ever is a problem , you will speak (without waiting long ) to someone a) in the UK and b) can sort you out.

A vote for pipex. They're cheap and reliable, and, after a long wait, they were able to help me out with my normally unsupported modem (conexant pci, now changed).

depends really on what you want ?

If you want just a "plain" connection without email addresses etc or if you need like personal webspace and IP ranges.

I'd recommend reading on www.adslguide.org.uk as this has a lot of information regarding the UK's major ADSL players at the current time.

Personally I use bulldogdsl primetime 2000 and its been nothign short of fantastic. Not a single issue in 9 months.
