    Wireless network extenders

    Hey Guys,

I've been meaning to get one of these for a while now but it always seems to slip my mind and I forget about it. Anyway my problem is that the back two bedrooms in my house don't get very good wireless signal and I'm looking to boost this so that my iPad, iPhone and laptop can all be connected to the network rather then having to move over to the cellular network just to check my emails or what ever.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a cheap but good wireless network extender that isn't going to be a nightmare to install and set up??

    Thanks,

I think there's a Hexus comp on for one - that'd make it pretty cheap!

    Yep - 10 to win!

I use on the the tp-link nano routers for £16.99 if you fail to win anything. Works well and is cheap to run. Does require a little know of now to connect via manually IP settings but once configured, it works well.

    Re: Wireless network extenders

I actually use a TP-Link TL-WR1043N which I reflashed with OpenWRT and it works a treat for this purpose. It's really straight forward to set up and seems to have superior reliability to other consumer-grade hardware I've used in the past. There are lots of written and video tutorials online of how to do this with this router. Hope that this helps.
