Netgear DG834GT Set as Modem only then Connect to N900 router Help please?

Hi All

I have been using a DG834GT as my ADSL router for years but wanted a new router that would allow me to have better range and able to stream HD. Problem is that i was originally looking at the N600 which had ADSL modem built in but then in my rush i came across the faster N900 but missed that it did not have a ADSL modem built in.

So my question is = Is it possible to setup my DG834GT as just a modem only setup to provide internet to the new N900 router?

Found a link to set it up as modem only mode which is a hidden option but as soon as i change it to modem only the internet stops working and do not have the option to enter my ISP login settings. http://blog.equk.co.uk/2011/09/use-a...-a-adsl-modem/

Can anyone advise me if what im trying to do is even possible with the DG834GT router and if so could guide me in setting this up please?

Other wise i will need to purchase a stand alone modem or send the N900 back....

Sorry to many late nights, set to modem only, then set N900 to PPpoE and entered my ISP settings in their. Now working fine : D
