looking for VOIP router -- help

    Hi:

I must be imagining things but I'm looking for a relatively up to date VOIP router. I have a 4 port 100BaseTx with 802.11b/g and 2 VOIP connections. I'm looking to upgrade but I can't find a replacement. I'm looking for a 4 port Gigabit router with 802.11b/g/n (dual speed), USB support (shared storage etc) and VOIP. I can't seem to find it, especially from the big vendors (Cisco etc.) Any suggestions??

Thanks Wasabi, but I'm in North America so I'll need something for our DSL networks. I was going to add DD-WRT to the wish list but I figure I'd better start looking for something that can be cobbled together.

    Thanks for the help.

In that case I don't see anyting that will give you an all-in-one solution. I'd probably just get a mainstream wireless ADSL router and tack the VOIP kit on as a second device. Or just go fully over to SIP and forget the FXx ports? Not always doable I know.

Ok, on the hardware side that seems the only reasonable solution. However, your comment about SIP brings me to a huge question: I thought SIP was merely a protocol that my VOIP connections used. I have a SIP section on the setup of the VOIP part of my router. Your comments implies that I'd better learn a whole lot more about SIP. What is your understanding of SIP. I'm hard into mad scramble learning mode here in order to understand all of this. Your help is appreciated.
