I know there are a few Hexus members who, like myself, really like the PCEngines ALIX platform, but with current broadband technologies, it's becoming a potential bottleneck. While it's still working fine for me with 60/3, I've been evaluating a few options and can't seem to find a decent like-for-like upgrade for anything like a reasonable price.
Atom-based Soekris boards are an obvious option, but they're far from cheap and after reading more about them, it seems they suffer from some stability problems and even the lower clocked versions run scary-hot.
However I stumbled upon a few forum posts which suggest an ALIX successor/upgrade might be around the corner.

Some time in 2013 (allowing for delays and retail availability) seems acceptable for me, but hopefully it will provide a decent upgrade path for current users without having to pay through the nose!
