Lo there.
Been struggling a while with this, and now I have the new PC setup I need to get this solved, as its compromising my spangly new setup.
Running Cat5, wireless and powerlines round the house, and the only issue I see is intermittent internet disconnects between Office PC and my router.
The office is on the powerline setup, as is one of the router ports. All powerlines in the house (4) are 500Mbps and gigabit ports.
Every now and then the internet drops out in the office on whatever PC is plugged in to the powerline.
WLAN is not affected, and neither are other CAT5 or powerline connected items around the rest of the house.
I have changed the powerlines around, put a diff router in, disconnected most of the other electrical items in the house to rule electrical interference out. Basically done most things, but I still get a disconnect betwixt PC and router several times a day.
Connection re-establishes after a few minutes, but if I want a quick fix, the only workaround is to power-cycle the office powerline unit.
Is there any utility I can run on my network to find the cause.
Cheers
MD
