    Power Socket Networking?

I remember vaguely in the past that there was a networking device that instead of using cables it ran through the power lines in your house. E.g. you just plug it into your pc via usb or whatever. Attach that to the receiver then from the receiver to a wall socket which then searched for another receiver somewhere else! I think this is an excellent Idea but for the life of me I cant find where to buy them.

Anyone know what they are?/Where to get them?

There is a trial about to go live, but they have severe RFI problems. There have been cases of radio hams reporting trial users to the DTI's Radio Investigation Service and the users of the system have been forced to remove the equipment due to the amount of radio noise they generate. I personally think the idea is good, but as a radio ham too, I wouldn't want anyone generating RF to the levels reported by other hams.
I am trying to see it your way, but I can't get my head up my arse
