    PCMCIA Wireless Card

Not really sure where this thread should fall, sorry if it's in the wrong place.

I'm looking to get a PCMCIA card for my Laptop that will allow me to communicate with my current wireless setup.

To throw a spanner in the works i'm running Debian "Sarge" on my laptop.
Is it possible to run a PCMCIA Wireless connection on Sarge or is that asking a bit much?

If possible then, what card would you recommend for running under Debian?

    Thanks,

I cant recommend one in particular as there are so many. But loads will work with linux no hastle. Especially if you are not looking for one with monitor mode to work with kismet etc.

Nope, just need to get a connection and receive my DHCP address through it (for getting on the net) that's all I need.

A lot of the ones I've looked at on Ebuyer (infact all of them) say they require Windows of some variant to run (their "Required OS")

I think perhaps sending off an email to some manfs and asking if the disks supplied come with linux drivers or not might be a good idea...

other forums like knoppix.net will have posts which are similar and you soon can work out
which get the most plugs.... but remember many are asking about monitor mode ones
like mine (orinoco classic gold) and not necessarily which card do most distros have the driver in it.
