Belkin Wireless Networking...

Hello, I have just got a 54G Belkin Wireless Networking PCI Card. This is meant to be for use with my router, F5D7630-4A.
I can only currently connect to the router and in doing so connect to the internet with my USB Wireless adapter. I have tried 2 different PCI cards (802.11B and 802.11G) and I carry on getting the following error:



This is what happens when I have "Obtain an IP Address Automatically".
I can set my own IP address and it connects just fine, the only problem is that I cannot connect to the internet for some reason.

I have tried the WinXPSok Fix all to no avail. I just don't understand why my USB (802.11B) adapter works and any PCI card that I try doesn't. I am really desperate and any sort of help would be much appreciated, Alex

If you set your own IP are you also setting the IP address of the gateway and dns servers on the same config screen? Without those your internet will not work.

If you would prefer to have your IP automatically assigned you will need to configure the router to use DHCP and may also need to setup some security to limit wireless connections based on the MAC address of your hardware. This may be what is stopping you connecting.
