Anyone using Virgin for Broad Bean?

Mid April (ie blummin soon) the village where I am renting will get a phat pipe

We aint gonna be here long....4 or 5 months, so I am looking towards monthly contracts.

Used Zen with 100% happyness at old house, and they are obviously in the running.

BUT money is tight right now...dead tight

    Zen charge activation, Virgin don't.
We have a small download requirement, so unlimited is irrelevent.

    Virgin is at £18 per month x 5 months = £90
    Zen is at £25 per month x 5 months plus £50 activation = £175.

They score ok on ADSLguide, so was wondering if any of you guys were using them?

Would like to stick with a "known" name, and no, not Bulldog.

    Cheers

Virgin have got a lot better lately, and seeing as it gives you what you want (monthly contract, no activation), seems like a great choice. Check the small print to see whether if you leave before 12 months is up, you have to pay the activation (Pipex used to do this).

    nope....no charge what-so-ever.

Also get a free USB modem (another one!!!) and a Microfilter (thats worth having).

Rang them to check it WAS FREE and that if I cancelled I wouldn'yt have tp post it back or pay for it. Nope. All mine.

Blinder. Only on phone for 3 minutes including dialing, choosing and holding. So far...so good

They were awful a while back but seem to be trying very hard now. Which is nice. And you get another modem that you can chuck on eBay

not just that..BUT I can move to Zen if Virgin are pants...and NOT pay the £50 activation that Zen normally charge

    Almost too cunning I'd say
