Which Synology 2 bay

Hi Folks,

I have 2x 1821+ Synology. However, to reduce power consumption over the longer term, I will be running scheduled on-and-off times for these. However, this would mean my Reolink cameras wouldn't record when they are off.

So I am looking to get a 2 Bay Synology that has the ability to run 6-8 4K Reolink cameras.

What model would you guys suggest? I want to spend as little as possible as these cameras and Surveillance Station will be the only function of this 2-bay NAS.

If it's specifically for CCTV support, does it need to be Synology?

The reason I ask is for camera licences. Some other brands include more camera licences as default. IIRC, Synology only include 2 and you have to buy the rest?? Of course, if you already have the necessary licences and theyll transfer, it won't matter .... and having no Synology stuff here, I don't know if they do. Also, having no Synology stuff I'm hardly the one to recommend which 2-bay for CCTV.

I already have the licences ( you can actually pool licences if you have multiple Synology devices on the same network - which is handy).

I know a DS723+ was leaded and google searches say the release date of Nov/Dec which is obviously not happening. But I do wonder if it is due soon as it might push some older models down in price (which all remain stubbornly above average).
