    God Damn Bulldog. Grrr

Currently on the phone to them, in a queue.

They thought it was a good idea to carry on charging for my old address even though they said it would be cancelled by the end of July plus they have charged me more than double for one month at my new place.

I have been referred to 3 departments so far. It's an absolute piss take.

    Not happy atm.

I can't do anything other than wait in the slim hope that someone in this department (it's probably all in the same office) knows whats going on.

    Welcome to hell

Seriously, they've screwed up more like this more than anybody would like. I have resorted to now writing to them "registered" delivery as the monkeys on the phones generally "inform" you of things just to clear you out of the way....

I cannot believe they have been charging for an account at an old address that is not in use anymore.

Can you not get the bank to stop the charges and then fax a written complaint to their address ?

I've had a few issues trying to contact bulldog regarding billing.... or lack of it should I say and each time I was promised it would be fixed with yet another 4 weeks of silence and no bill sent.

Well I have got the old address issue further along to being sorted. Spoke to a helpful person who gave me their personal email and told me to send them a copy of what I sent 2 months ago. Only problem is that she has said that5 I have got to ring up again tomorrow to find out what is going on.

There's not even a registered phone line at that address any more so I don't know how they think someone could be using their service!

As for being charged more than double this month I can't get through to the 'finance' department. One muppet even forwarded me to it, but it ended up being the wrong department.

    I am furious.

good luck getting through to finance - it took me 3 days trying to take to someone who had the tone in their voice as if they were thinking " why you telling me..."

Check adslguide - your not the only one affected by these screwups

Yeh I've been reading the adslguide forums I know how everyone feels.

Everyone I speak to at BD says they can't find out why I am being charged so much, then tell me to ring finance! The fact that one person tried to transfer but to the wrong place wound me up a treat.

You would have thought that 'Billing Enquiries' would be able to help me with an enquiry about my bill but it seems not.

If it wasnt so hard to cancel then I would be ordering an account with a new ISP now. I feel trapped and it's disgusting.

I've just been on AG asking for a contact name in billing/finance for you as their are a few folks there that are HELPFUL. The rest are just fillers to keep the numbers up I expect.

As soon as I hear more information - I'll PM you

Well they did not send me a bill for 6 months or so, then I got one with all the charges backdated from the start of this year. The funny thing is that they have still not taken any money from me, they are an odd bunch I tell ya. Maybe I can emmigrate without ever paying them

    Good luck to ya.

I found out that they are trying to charge me from 16th June when I didn't actually have the account activated until 12th July. Absolute tosh.

Got a dispute going on now as to why I'm being charged from the 16th June even though the BT engineer didn't come round until 12th July and I didnt start using the line till a week after that. Obviously I don't mind paying from 12th July as that is when the line was ready to be used.

In the 'My Order' bit after you log in on Bulldog it says:

    Your order 01/06/05 completed
    Details confirmation 01/06/05 completed
    Order Processing 04/06/05 completed
    Organising connection 29/06/05 completed
    Connection date 29/06/05 completed
    Service transfer 03/07/05 completed
    Service Delivery 12/07/05 completed

How do they expect me to have started using the line on the 16th when the connection date wasn't even until 29/06.

FFS. They won't believe me though and I can't get them any other proof. I asked technical support to tell me when data was first sent/recieved on the line and they wouldn't tell me just that it was activated on the magical date of 16th June.

Don't know what to do now.

You should make a formal complaint to ISPA. Take a look here: http://www.ispa.org.uk/

Bulldog is a member of ISPA so they should be able to sort this out. ISPA is a self-regulatory body that consists of most of the ISP's in the UK. ISPA itself will forward your complaint to a Bulldog representative and there are guaranteed timescales for a response and resolution from the ISP. An ISPA representative will then contact you to see if the situation has been resolved. ISPA also publishes scores for standards of service between ISP's so any ISP does not like a complaint being made through ISPA.

    Hope that helps.
