    WAP with Printserver?

I've been looking and looking and can't find anyone who makes a WAP that incorporates a USB printserver, anyone got or seen such a beast? I've already got a modem/router all set up just as I want it (SAR 715) so don't the hassle of having to configure a new router. Any one able to help?

A few problems with it - it's 11b and not 54g, it doesn't have a USB (preferably USB2) printserver port and it's not actually a WAP, it's a router but thanks for looking anyway.

    sorry ment to post this:

Only USB1.1, and its a router, but you can use it as a WAP (simply don't use the NAT functions and the WAN port) but your paying over the odds as a result.

I'm sure u can get it cheaper, but i'm really tired

Cheers. I am beginning to resign myself to the fact I'm going to just have to buy a new modem/router/printserver all in one box. Now I just need to decide which one. Anyone any recommendations or absolutely avoids?

erm you're probably going to have to buy a WLAP that has a router function.

this dosen't mean you have to use it, and u'll be paying only a few pence more than u would otherwise (801.3 routing is so easy with the CPUs most WLAPs have in them now, its not much more expensive than adding a hub port, so they all have them).

You can buy standalone wireless print servers, as u can wired, but the all in one is probably the same price now (because they'll make so many more).

I've never used one, mixing the "JetDirect" (what i tend to label all external print servers, even thou these were just HP) with USB (ergh) and Wireless (eeeeeeeergh) makes me giggle. I have had such fun with wired JetDirect boxes, admitedly there much better now, but i just like the control of having a computer there. I'd flick through the SMC cataloge (they make good gear, and have amazingly good support, esp for older devices, they don't care that they are 4 years out of warenty, or a 10mbit 24 port switch thats for charity, they'll find the information u need).
