Talking Net gear Routers = DDOS attack

    Got a Netgear RP614, MR814, DG814 or HR314 ?

If so, you could unwiittingly be taking part in an accidental Distributed Denial of Service. About 700,000 of these routers are currently sending SNTP time requests each second to the University of Wisconsin, causing 150Mbit/sec traffic. It would appear that netgear didn't expect to sell that many! New firmware corrects various flaws in the SNTP protocol, and uses Netgear NTP servers instead.

Make sure you back up your existing firmware before flashing it though!
