    Suggestions required!

Looking at networking a BT Yahoo broadband connection for a friend, currently a wired Voyager 205 wired router is used but he wishes to network the PC upstairs also so I need a wireless router.

54mbps+ speeds are not a necessity, just above average range (quite a large house) and reliability. It should also be available from Scan to make use of free delivery

I also need a USB wireless adaptor for the newly purchased PC. Its a brand new Dell, and I don't want to ruin the warranty by opening it up. At least, my friend doesn't

What are your thoughts on Edimax? I've never used them, or seen them in use before but I believe Wildmonkey at scan likes them? I've only had experience with D-Link (ugh), Netgear (so-so) and Linksys (yay! but not stocked at scan..)

Also just to confirm, ADSL2 routers are backwards compatible yar?

    Please advise!

the only Endimax item i've used is their high gain antena for my router, can't fault it so far. I would recomend one of these if the house is large. I don't need mine at the moment, but added it to a bundle of stuff from scan while i remembered about it

I've got a netgear DG834G which has been great for me.

Scan only have the GT (108mbps speeds).. at £75.66! I was looking at something a bit cheaper than that, could probably pick up a MIMO for a little bit more than that

    Any more suggestions?
