blueyonder do cable not ADSL, and there standard modem works fine with 2 MB

I dont think you can. Why would you want to? They are provided free of charge and give you an RJ-45 cable with 2MB goodness. What more could you want?

my m8 wants to use 2 computers to have access to the internet and is reluctant to network

thanks for the info m8, how hard is it gonna be to setup connection network the 2 comps then (not shared at the same time just both having access to the net one at a time), both having 10/100nics and a crossover. any easy step URL's would be great
i had the 2 mb service but decided i wanted to go back down to 512 and save money , blueyonder is a great service tho , hardly any problems
