British Telecom will quadruple current broadband speeds from March 31st by adding BT ADSL Max and Premium to their current range of services. At present BT only offer a 2Mbps service, but the upgrade will see 78% of subscribers upgrading from 2Mbps to 4Mbps, over 42% to get 6Mbps and those closest to their exchange will be able to receive 8Mbps broadband access.
The plans will see the telecommunications giant upgrading 5,300 exchanges accross the UK as well as improvements to the stability of their service.
