hiya guys, basicaly i got on Cat 5 coming through my ceeling from a router from a differnt room, i want to put another computer next to this one so would like to split the internet coming from that cable, how do i do it and whats the chepest way? 2 way hub or soemthing?

cheapest way is to buy a switch - small 5 port netgear or something - then plug your pcs & the feed into that

again as above, a switch would be cheaper and better for splitting the connection

yup simple as that - there will be a socket for "internet" so put ur cable form your ceiling into that, then just plug the two pc's into the other sockets, numbered 1,2,3...etc

there not much at all mate, of course it depends on brand, amont of sockets etc, you can pick up a 4port Netgear for about £15 - £20 in most places.

Ebuyer do one for £5.30 with 5 star rating but i havnt got one myself so cant recommend personally

The ebuyer one has been working absolutely fine. I have the older version of that switch and its never given me a single problem in 3 or so years....
