Depends on who you are wanting to speak to i guess. It's like IM services, if all your friends are using MSN there isn't a lot of point using AIM. Likewise if you know people in the US that use Skype, then you may as well use skype as well as opposed to getting them to install another client. Also i don't think GoogleTalk lets you call land lines. or am i mistaken?
No googles just like msn really but im jus using skype for calls to usa and france which cost a fortune with the landline.
I have been using Skype, for a looooong time now.. and it's Great!! Highly recommended and never had any problems with it. They also regularly give away FREE Skype out minutes (in the last 2/3 weeks they have given out 1 Hour of calling credit at their standard rate and 10 minutes free).
The sound quality is indeed great with no problems talking to people from around the world.
The IM side of it is also very useful if you are wanting to catch someone who is currently on the phone or can't speak for whatever reasons. The file transfer speed is also amazingly fast as it isn't capped.
Can't really comment on GoogleTalk as I have stuck with Skype.
Excellent i know that BT r running scared
