    "temporary broadband"?

    Might be a long shot....but......

The situation is this, when I started University last September, my parents decided to cancel NTL broadband as it wasn't really financially viable for them (they never really used it) and nowadays we're just using dialup (urgh).

And to make things worse, they're selling the house, so grabbing another 12 month contract is out of the question.

So you can see the sort of predicament I'm in.

Anyway, does anyone know of any companies that offer temporary connections for like, say, 2 - 3 months?

Bulldog Broadband offer Pay as you go, up to 8meg. Free modem etc.

Damn site better than 56k. http://www.bulldogbroadband.com/resi...band/index.asp

3p a minute at peak times is a bit steep though. Just depends how much you're going to use it I guess.

Most ISPs only have a 1 month contract. Check out the ISP guide on ADSL guide to see how long the contracts are on each ISP's service. Bear in mind that you will have to pay the activation charge (to BT) when you start using ADSL again, and you will have to wait the 7 days again.
