    Eclipse changing their services?

My girlfriend uses Eclipse (up to 8mb) at home for her ADSL. They've received a latter saying that they are changing their service, I havn't read it and know very little about it. However I do know it mention's changing to a LLU service. So a possible speed boost there?

Anyone else get a letter like this that can shed some light on it. Is it worth changing over?

I haven't had a letter.. well, I don't think I have. I usually just see the 'eclipse internet' badge on the mail and drop it in the 'bills' pile . I'll have a poke.

I'm with Eclipse and haven't heard anything. It could be just a trail area - depending on your location, perhaps Exeter only!

If the are unbundling your line, it is possible they will be able to offer ADSL2+ which gives up to 20Mbit connections. Or they could offer regular 8Mbit ADSL but with better download allowances. Basically LLU gives them complete control over phone line which means they can be a lot more creative with their offers etc.

I've not received a letter, my gf hasn't and my parents haven't. I'd be interested to hear what it's all about.
