    Dual Wan and gaming.

I've heard that dual wan can make your broadband more reliable. Would it help with online games or would it drop connection just as much as a single connection because of the IP change that happens when it switches?
    Thanks in advance!

Sorry to not be more clear, Lets say I was playing CSS and my Comcast cable konks out for 15 minutes like it does once a week, the DSL on the dual wan router wont pick up the lost connection because its on a separate IP. Am I right?

    not really.

I was connected to my router via a cable, and then connected to a wireless network. wondered what would happen if i pulled the plug on the ethernet, and my connection (ie/msn/etc) dropped for a bit while windows worked out what was going on... I dont think you can do it

Right, this is a little more complex to answer thant it was to ask. Put simply dual WAN is great for fail over exactly as you mention BUT in the example you mention (online game) you would still drop from the server then have to r/c as you would have a new IP (the 2nd IP). Your router would push the new connection's to the least loaded WAN port much like SMP on win 2k/XP with dual CPU's. If you want td balanced up/down the hardware is normally quite pricey but dual in is cheaper
