    Wireless extender AND bridge

I have jsut moved into a new flat and i have found that my wireless network doesn't reach to my lounge where i want to use my latop over wifi and also connect an xbox media centre via a wireless bridge. Moving my wifi router is not a problem.

I was wondering if anybody knows of a product that both extends the range of my wifi and that also allows me to plug in an ethernet device (the xbox) and bridge it to the network.

I dont really want to have a two separate products in the lounge to achieve this.

I have looked at a number of products and all seem to do either one or the other.

    thanks in advance!

I have a 3Com OfficeConnect wireless/modem/router (http://andrewbeacock.blogspot.com/20...fantastic.html) and it has some admin screens that look like they allow repeating of pre-existing wireless networks - I was presented with a list of my neighbours networks and asked which one I wanted to repeat.

It also has a 4-port switch built in so I assume you can also connect wired devices to the repeated network.

Please consider this all rumour as I obviously haven't used these features or tried out what you want to do.

Maybe the manual would give you the answers you need?

From what i've read about the wrt54g you can't have it as a repeater and use it to plug an ethernet device onto the network at the same time.
