    Registering a .co.uk domain...

Simple really, i want to get a domain that supplies web-forwarding to my ntlworld webspace and also provides me with some email addresses like @domain.co.uk...How much is it gonna cost for one of these types of address per year??

I have looked on some sites and it seems really really cheap, almost toooo cheap, so could someone explain that to me...?

    Cheers

    Wilko

123-reg.co.uk are a good cheap place to use and they have a good control panel that you can use url forwarding on or http://www.hu-domains.com that i use for most of mine
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

    Another vote for www.oneandone.co.uk

Had email with them on a domain for 3 years and not a SINGLE bit of spam from it.

Cost around £2/year for a .co.uk address but you need to take it out for 2 years at a time so its £4 every 2 years.

I got mine through uk2.net but I wish I had of gone with OneAndOne.co.uk as they are much better!

£1.99 per year gets you 50 email addresses and free email forwarding as well as free website domain forwarding. As Richie said, you have to pay for a minimum of two years.

You only get email forwarding for that Price.... It goes upto £6.99 or so for 2 proper POP3 mailboxes (webmail access or webclient like Outlook etc)

I was lucky. When I signed up initially (2001 IIRC) they gave you 50 forwarders PLUS 5 proper POP3 mailboxes for £2.50/year and they allow you to keep it when this changed to the current one as I was an existing customer

Having your own domain with emails is cool. I have about 6 email addresses for my own for diff things e.g. shopping (ebuyer, aria etc), forums (hexus, GSV etc), personal etc etc and they all get forwarded to 1 of my POP3 boxes meaning I can mange them better.

I have setup forwarders for the rest of my family so they have their own email address for life
