My wife and I woke up about 05:50. The boys came out of their bedroom when they heard us go to the bathroom. Holly woke up about 06:30. We were all downstairs by 06:55 which is when the in-laws arrived. Present opening just finished, but we had to stop for a break in the middle becuase the kids had had enough of present opening.

I do that too! and i'm 35, should know better lol, though Jon does let me open just one prezzie at midnight and I was tracking santa last night and getting excited the closer he got

the baby slept from 2:30am to 7:45am

2am, 5am then 8am! A bad night compared to the routine we had her in for the last few weeks, but good compared to the last few nights!

a fairly respectable 7.15 - his usual routine is 6.00 - 6.30... Woke up very excited, and checked out that santa had been as the mince pie was gone (yum!) the carrot had been nibbled by rudolph (nom!) and the baileys had gone down a treat (extra yum!)!

After announcing when they picked me up from the station at 7pm that "I need to go to bed early"

6.30am - then we made her sleep in our bed for anotehr 30 mins. Well, I say sleep, she just lay there complaining she couldn't sleep! however, she then played quietly in her room until 8.30am, before we all went down stairs to see if FC (as she calls him) had been.

We managed to stay in until a staggering 09:30 this morning This was of course, due to the little angel being awake, screaming most of the preceding "night" period, when most people do this "sleeping" thing....

The kids despair of me, but I don't care

I had to wake my rotten kids at 7.30 by standing on the landing and coughing loudly - Santa had been and all they wanted to do was sleep... The youngest was heard muttering "you'll make enemies" as she dragged her stocking into our room for the annual pressie-fest

My family keeps me waiting every year by having breakfast first. I personally think they should be put in prison it drives me mad
