you forgot the blackout blind so the nipper don't wake up at 4am

Haha my first thought too, blackout blinds ftw!
How's the carpet? Nice and thick for crawling ?
We do have blackout linings - but we may need to adjust them.
I have just packed away the first set of baby clothes (we have some very generous friends) and my system of dividing it into sets of 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 etc into individual green boxes is highly amusing.
I personally think it's VERY logical...

My first comment is:
pheww... Sair and I were just asking each other only last night.. what's occuring in the Hex Household...... surely DemiDirectHex will be landing soon ... so I'm v pleased all is well.
lovely colours
secondly: if you've got plastic window frames, then a blackout blind is easier to fit.. a roller blind style. Ypu buy them tot he nearest size.... unroll... cut them to fit with a sharp pair of scissors and a pencil line.. cut the rolelr bar with a little hacksaw.. and roll them back up. Then fit the brackets to the plastic window frames.
third: it would be very very useful to have a chair in there.. somewhere to sit with the little one for night feeding and stuff. I know you're likley to have the moses basket by your bed... but a few weeks later... you might want to put them into their own room... and once in... you don't want them coming back into your room. And feeding him.her at night is Daddy's job as they get bigger... dream feeds.... best time of your life as a daddy. Sit there, in the quiet, bottle in his/her gob... defragging your brain and telling him about your day.. while they drink milk unconscious!
fourth: it's WELL worth getting the cot and mattress sorted ASAP... we found that our little lad was better, after the first few weeks, sleeping in his moses basket.. IN HIS COT in his room. It also prepared him for sleeping in that room once too big for the basket.. which was very soon. We also realised he was waking himself up in the moses basket when he rolled over.. cos it wobbled. As soon as he was in his moses basket ,rested in his cot.. he slept well. And that's when the chair in his room paid off.
A second, lower brightnes slight.. OR a dual element bulb (like Philips make) so you can have dim or bright at a choice.
Next: Changing Table: seems it'll be ok on the floor.... unless you have a higher table with sides.
Ikea USED to make this:
we got one on eaby.. and my lad is 5 and we still use it as a shelf, and chest of drawers... the top changing section folds up to make an extra shelf.
we paid £80 5 years ago... it's still worth that. Awesome investment.
