Unhappy At a worried loose end tonight

It has been a while since my last foray into the forums, any forums. Not enough time I suppose.

But tonight, I am sat at home, all by myself. My wife, who is expecting our second child in April, is currently perched on the end of my three year old sons hospital bed. Nothing too drastic, but has been a difficult day.
He has always been prone to chest infections, and gets wheezy very easily. But today, he was very listless, and seemed to be struggling. After a trip to the out of hours doctor, he improved massively, then got bad enough for a trip to A+E. His oxygen level just wont stay up without help. He seems fine in himself, but it is difficult to relax here at home without them.

No real reason for this thread, but needed to vent a bit.

Not a parent, or a parenting forum regular, but I was passing.. hope you hear something positive soon & some idea what's going on with your lad. Bit quiet around here these days so you might not see many folks in, but keep posting, may as well sit in the hexus lounge & have some virtual hot sweet tea & company, eh.

Feel for you, that feeling of helplessness. However he is the best place to be monitored, and you are doing the important job of keeping the home running and providing support fir your other half.

Scant comfort, I know. Hope he is better after an overnight stay.

Well, that was a really bad couple of days. It turns out the my son has a really bad chest infection. Antibiotics and an inhaler should see him right.

On the way back in to see him in the morning, parked in the car park and promptly collapsed with pain. Many hours later, nt being able to see my son, and lots of pain in a+e, scan shows a 6mm kidney stone lodged in my ureter.

    Ouch!!

Yowzer, two for one! Kids are often hit hard and fast by pneumonias because their physiological reserve is less than that of an adult, but there is almost no chance of lasting harm - hope he's well soon
