    Thermalright SLK-800A

Just about to order one of these, doing some last minute compatability checks.

On the thermalright website it says it can fit on the Gigabyte 7N400 Pro2 but says nothing about my version of the board the 7N400 Pro.

Can anyone clear this up for me?

An SLK-800A uses the clip doesn't it? If so, the only problem would be sufficient space around the socket.

yeh thats right. im gonna risk it, ive looked at pics of both the Pro and Pro2 boards and they dont seem that different in terms of space around the socket. i was just hoping for a definitive answer!

The non-contact areas of capacitors would be fine yeah. If you're really careful you can bend them over slightly anyway.
