    C2D E2140 waste of time or bargain at £50??

    hi i found a E2140 on ebuyer.com for 50 quid and was just wondering what you guys think about it. My younger brother wants to play better games and his celeron system obvioulsy isnt cut out for more than paint, just wondering if itll hold up playing some better games??? Cheers

    I would say bargain and will no doubt clock nice an easy up to 3 GHz.

    when are they actually out though...

    the e6420 is only £99 I would pay the extra cash.... use toms hardware guide cpu chart to compare it to your alternatives

    where is the 6420 only £99 even scan have it for £127

    they now have e4300 at £76 and E4400 at £86

    6420 for £99? not anywhere trustworthy. For £50 it will be an absolute steal as long as it overclocks like its bigger bro's.

    at my local computer store its on sale I just assumed that a store near you would have one that low or am I the only lucky one not that it matters after all I do have an e6600

    ebuyer.com have them at the moment theyre just out of stock, and by your replies i can see why. thanx for the advice, i think ill get it and then learn how to overclock it.

    I think these are the ones coming out in June along with a new celeron single core processor based on core 2 duo tech ?

    Yeah I thought these weren't actually out yet.
