    It's getting cheaper and cheaper £70 for 2gig http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=106007

Drops any lower and I'll be dumping the PC8500 in favour of that.

That is cheap! Right, the Samsung memory just sold on Ebay for 51 pounds....... So that can go towards the new memory I plan to get.

Have a look at the stuff from Crucial, Ballistix based on micron D9 chips and overclocks like mad, have read that even the 533 stuff can be good for running at 1000. I have the 800 stuff but haven't yet overclocked it as I currently only have a crappy P4 CPU.

Don't bother with high frequency stuff... you won't get above about 470MHz on that motherboard. 500 is the limit but that requires dangerously high MCH voltage.

Ok just a bit confused here. I was told by sum boff(other forum awhile back) that 32 bit OS dont support more than 2gb of ram. But I was looking at windows xp proffesional today and it said it supported up to 4gb. so which is it?

32 BIT systems only support 3GB....

GSte.. you can raise the MCH voltage by doing a slight modification to the back of the mobo (involves soldering a wire in) I know sounds a bit dodgy, but my mobo goes to 2.0V standed. If you solder this wire in it prevents voltage drop
and I think you can get about 510MHz (will get very hot) but on 2.0v you can get around 430MHz

Thats correct. A 32bit system will not recognise 4gb.

I am currently running 64 bit Vista though so thats why im getting the extra 2gb.

I think (correct me if am wrong) that a 64 bit systen will support 16GB of memory.

Some OCZ staff bloke said that he wouldn't go over 1.8v at the most because of the risk of killing the board though, and he was testing OCZ 1066 RAM, so if it were safe you'd think he would have been up for it, wouldn't you? Also, on my AW9D I reached 460MHz stable with 1.55v

I know you can take it to 2.0v you will need good cooling. my friend took his to 1.85 and was fine, but he would'nt push it anymore...
